TUJ-Circle Blog Terms of Use
In order to provide you with the best experience possible on TUJ-Circle.net (“the Site”), Temple University, Japan Campus (“TUJ”) has some rules, requests, and notices relating to its use and to material that can be posted (“Content”). By accessing or contributing to the Site you agree to abide by the terms of use set out below. Please read them carefully.
Illegal or Objectionable Content
You must comply with all applicable laws when using the Site. In addition, you may not use the Site for personal attacks, defamation, harassment, inappropriately aggressive behavior, discriminatory content, offensive content, or unsolicited advertisements (“spam”). Content you post to the Site may not be illegal, obscene, defamatory, discriminatory, threatening, infringe any intellectual property rights, invade any privacy interests or be otherwise injurious or objectionable. TUJ reserves the right to screen or review Content and to remove or edit, without notice, any Content posted to the Site.
Personal Information
As set out above, it is your obligation to refrain from posting any information that invades the privacy interest of another. That includes not posting personally identifiable data, including, for example, information about another sufficient to identify that individual by name, date of birth, or other description. In order to protect recognizable privacy interests, TUJ reserves the right to remove any Content posted to the Site determined to include personally identifiable data.
Privacy Policy
The Site collects limited information from those posting comments, including name and email address. You may also provide a link to another website. Names and website links are publicly displayed. The email address is not, but may be used by TUJ to contact you. The Site will also automatically log information including, for example, IP addresses, operating system, and browser type as well as utilize cookies to optimize use of the Site.
Content Ownership
By posting or contributing Content on the Site, including commenting on posts, you are granting TUJ, a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, and worldwide license to use your Content and associated electronic data, including, without limitation, the rights to copy, distribute, transmit, display, perform, reproduce, edit, translate and reformat your Content, and/or to incorporate it into a collective or derivative work in any media or forum. In so doing, TUJ may, in its discretion, specifically credit your authorship, identify the source of the Content more generally, for example, “former student at TUJ”, or omit any such references. You grant TUJ permission to use your name and/or information regarding your affiliation with TUJ for the purposes of such attribution.
By posting or contributing Content to the Site, you agree to represent yourself accurately and not impersonate any other person or party. You represent that you either own or control all rights to the Content, or that your use of the Content is a protected fair use, and that it does not infringe on or violate the rights of any third party. In posting or contributing Content, you will not knowingly provide or promote inaccurate or misleading information; you represent that the Content you supply does not violate any terms of use or applicable law; and you agree to indemnify and hold harmless TUJ for any claims resulting from Content that you supply.
All opinions expressed by users of the Site are expressed in their individual capacities and not as representatives of TUJ. You may not use the TUJ name in any form to endorse or promote any product, opinion, cause or political candidate. You may not use TUJ-Circle.net for any purpose other than your own personal use.
Violation of any term of use may lead to termination of access and/or deletion of Content.
TUJ-Circle.net Disclaimers
The views and opinions expressed on this Site are those of the page author(s) and do not necessarily reflect the views of TUJ. TUJ may provide a maintenance fee to page author(s) but does not control page content. TUJ-Circle.net contains Content from a variety of authors – students, faculty and staff – as well as other users. TUJ attempts to review all Content and reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to remove, edit, or refuse to post Content. However, you may find material that is objectionable, divisive or inaccurate. Given the educational purpose of the site, TUJ makes every effort to provide an open forum allowing to the fullest extent diverse perspectives and opinions.
TUJ will not be liable, under any circumstances, for any errors or omissions, loss or damage of any kind incurred as a result of access to the Site or use of any Content. You must evaluate and bear all risks associated with access or use, including any reliance on the accuracy, integrity, or quality of its Contents.

TUJ reserves the right to change the terms under which the Site is made available. You should regularly review them. Your continued use constitutes your agreement to them.
